Malaysia Movement Control Order (MCO): Free First Video Consultation for All Cancer Patients.

Video Consultation, Reaching Out To Cancer Patients Everywhere

Due to Malaysia’s Movement Control Order (MCO), a lot of cancer patients, especially those who are newly diagnosed, will not be able to proceed with immediate surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Most patients may not even know what to do next because they are unable to visit an oncologist to discuss further treatment plan due to lockdown between state/ country.

Cancer Does Not Wait

  • Cancer patients who is waiting for cancer surgery can end up tumor becomes inoperable or becoming more advanced stage or spread to other parts of the body due to the long waiting time for surgery. Immediate consultation and treatment (eg. chemotherapy, if indicated), may be able to buy more time while waiting for surgery.
  • For cancer patients who had completed cancer surgery, delayed in adjuvant treatments (chemotherapy, radiation therapy) will lead to higher risk of cancer recurrence and compromise/ reduce curability of cancer. Immediate consultation will allow patients to be more prepared to start treatment without any delay. (Travel letter can be issued to patients to come to hospital to start treatment).
  • Patients with advanced cancer have more to lose with delay of treatment. Cancer will continue to spread more aggressively to more parts of the body without any cancer treatment. Immediate consultation must be done without any delay. Treatment should be started as soon as possible. Starting treatment tomorrow is already too late.

Hence, to help all the cancer patients, I will conduct free first video consultation for ALL cancer patients via Zoom apps.

Please download ZOOM.
